Andre’ R. Fluker was born in Chicago, IL on August 5, 1970 into the loving family of the late Dr. Samuel A. Fluker and the late Sister Lucinda Oliver Fluker. At the age of fourteen he heard a voice from heaven telling him “Preach my word.” Though he strayed away from the Lord for a period of time, at the age of nineteen God sent a special family into his life that would be instrumental in bringing Pastor Fluker back into the body of Christ.
Pastor Fluker’s relationship with Christ was greatly enhanced while playing the drums at Kneeway Pentecostal C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Pastor WE McCoy. It was at that time Pastor Fluker ceased his running and accepted the call that God had for his life. On a Saturday in April 1989, while enjoying a theatrical production at Progressive Life Giving Word Cathedral, he accepted the call to ministry.
After serving as drummer at Mt. Calvary MB Church Pastor Fluker heard God leading him to return home and work. Because of his obedience, after two years of faithful service, Pastor Fluker was elevated to the position of Assistant Pastor at the House of Inspiration C.O.G.I.C. where Dr. Samuel A. Fluker served as Senior Pastor. After another two-year period Pastor Andrae’ Fluker was appointed district Superintendent of the J.O. Patterson District of the 6th Jurisdiction of Illinois. During that period, he was mentored by Pastor Clowdell Williams Sr.
After much prayer and consideration God led him to work with the Holy Jerusalem M.B. Church and Smyrna M.B. Church. While serving in this capacity God allowed him to cross paths with the great harvester, mentor, and family friend Dr. A. Edward Davis Jr. Dr. Davis Jr. was gracious in blessing Pastor Fluker with sound advice and provided for him an example of strong leadership.
While attending a revival on April 8, 2004 God shared with Pastor Fluker that it was time for him to launch out into the deep and assume his rightful position; pastoral leadership. He instructed Pastor Fluker that it was time for, “A new day, a new program, a new vision, and a new name.” It was out of that revelation that God gave Pastor Fluker the name Redeeming Life Family Worship Center, and led him to the Blue Island area to do a work. Andrae’ R. Fluker was installed as pastor of Redeeming Life Family Worship Center on Sunday, October 10, 2004.
Shortly after hosting his first event as pastor, in November of 2005 Pastor Fluker’s only brother was called home to be with the Lord. Three months after that tragic occurrence Pastor Fluker’s father was called home to be with the Lord.
Despite trials and tribulations Pastor Fluker has endured he continues to fight. He serves humbly as the president of the Blue Island Area Ministerial Association. Pastor Fluker also serves diligently as liaison and special assistant to Superintendent Michael Eaddy of People’s Church of the Harvest where God has led Pastor Fluker back to his spiritual roots; the Church of God In Christ.
